Assessing IBM z/iSeries and Open Systems

Mr. Henri Kuiper, on behalf of SRC Secure Solutions bv., will present assessing operating systems risks, with a focus on Unix OS, as well as sprinkle of IBM z machines, during ISACA.Lu's April 25th Risk Assessment Event.

The Conference will be held at the Alvisse Parc Hotel from 18:00 through 19:30 CET. The session will include a Q&A and will be followed by a cocktail ending around 21:00 CET. Registration will start from 17:30 onwards.

SRC Secure Solutions bv. perform risk assessments on different IBM platforms (IBM zSeries, IBM iSeries and Open Systems) for financial institutions, manufacturing organisations and others.

A case study will be presented focusing on meeting the demands of clients running applications on IBM zSeries, IBM iSeries and Open Systems (AIX / Linux) concurrently.

Financial institution clients have to provide assurance that their systems are in compliance with the Netherlands' BIR Baseline Information Security (BIR) and ISO / IEC 27001 and 27002.

Outsourced IT systems impact a client's GDPR Repsonsibility and Accountability posture through a cascading business relations environment and will be an interesting addition to the session.

Henri will explain the technical aspects of a risk assessment on IBM z, including vulnerability dashboard and heatmap (red/orange etc.) as well as a remediation strategy using PowerPoint.
